Stila PerfectMe Perfect Hue Eye and Cheek Palette
Haaaappyy Thanksgiving weekend my American friends!! If you have plans to go shopping or do some online shopping from the comfort of your home, allow me to add one more thing to your must-have list. Today we’re talking about the Stila PerfectMe Perfect Hue Eye and Cheek Palette. I have owned and used this palette for a couple months now and have even raved about it constantly on my Instagram. But then, I realized I hadn’t actually done a proper blog post detailing all the reasons that this a must-have palette. So here we go.
Stila PerfectMe Perfect Hue Eye and Cheek Palette
As the name suggests, the Stila PerfectMe Perfect Hue Eye and Cheek palettes are eye and cheek palettes. Meaning that the palette comes with five gorgeous eyeshadows, and two equally gorgeous blushes. A very unique feature about the Stila PerfectMe Perfect Hue palettes is that they actually come in four shade ranges – Fair/Light, Light/Medium, Medium/Tan and Tan/Deep. And while I really commend Stila for making this fantastic palette available with specific skin tones in mind, I think these palettes are interchangeable. For example, I am a medium tan NC 42 skin tone and on me, I think both Medium/Tan and Tan/Deep would look just as good (I personally own Tan/Deep). Also, I think that the fairer skin tones can wear literally ANY of the four shade ranges because these palettes really are that versatile.
I think Stila did an incredible job with the packaging of these palettes. The palettes are a soft gold shade – with a hint of a leopard print on the top lid. The palette feels so amazing and luxurious and weighted. It looks fantastic on the vanity if you want to display and show off your collection a little 😉 These palettes are also so freaking fantastic for traveling. I mean you basically have all your eyeshadow and blush needs packed into one compact and stunning package. The inclusion of a large and beautiful quality mirror just seals the deal here.
Let’s get down to the most important part of the review shall we. I think that the quality of all the powders (eyeshadows and blushes) in the Stila PerfectMe Perfect Hue Palette is phenomenal! The shadows are very pigmented. There is definitely scope for more intense pigmentation if you wet your brush. The shadows blend like a dream. And this is coming from a very very amateur makeup-doer (I can’t even call myself ‘artist’). Like I said, I personally own the Tan/Deep palette. The shade names you get in this are pictured below.
Imaginative: It is a beautiful transition/crease shade if you want to bring a little warm orange peachiness into your look. It is a matte finish.
Brilliant: This shade is a gorgeous shimmery highlighter shade that is fantastic for a pop of shimmer in the center of the eyes, under the brow bone and inner corners.
Flirty: This is stunning matte brown, rich, and pigmented. It makes for an incredible starting point of my smoky eye look. The perfect crease color.
Adventurous: This and Flirty are possibly my favorite shades in the palette. I am a complete sucker for gorgeous metallic coppery-bronzey shades which is exactly what this shade is. It works with any eye look and actually, it even looks phenomenal on its own. Just try wetting the brush and applying the product. You’ll be blinded by your own eyeshadow.
Mesmerizing: This is a very good black eyeshadow. Very black and very pigmented. If you’re travelling, you probably don’t even need to carry a separate eyeliner. This shadow will work perfectly for that. Again, an intense liner can achieved by wetting the brush.
*My basic point here is that this palette works brilliantly on its own or by wetting all the eyeshadows. Either way it looks gorgeous*.
Vibrant: A cool toned peachy blush. Just deep enough to show up on all skin tones ranging from either end of the spectrum.
Witty: A stunning berry blush. It is extremely pigmented so a light hand would be well advised here.
The staying power of these shadows is great. I tested these a few times with no primer and no setting spray used to set my makeup and these still lasted me really well throughout the day. With the inclusion of a base or primer of some sort and setting spray, I don’t think your makeup will budge.
P.S. I don’t have particularly oily eyelids so I can’t speak on that front.
I think one of the biggest things that draws me to this palette is how reasonably priced it is considering how amazing the quality of the eyeshadows is and taking into account the fact that Stila is a very well known high end cosmetics brand. This palette originally retails for $39.00. Very very well priced I think. At the time of writing (11/25/2016), Stila is having a 25% off sitewide sale!! With FREE SHIPPING. With this discount, the palette comes down only $29.00!! And EBATES has 4% cashback as well if you order online. Just quickly letting you know that I do not get a single penny for telling you about any of this. I personally never buy anything full price if I can help it and I thought you guys might also like to know how to get more bang for your buck 🙂 You can find the palette on the Stila website.
P.S: I personally bought the palette for even cheaper ($19.00 w/o tax) during one of Ulta’s super popular 21 Days of Beauty Sales. Again, you should follow me on Instagram (@neighha) so I can keep you updated of these things. Just saying 😉 But I don’t know when and if that sale will come back, so I think that if you’re interested in getting this palette, now is the perfect time to do so!
Here are some swatches of the shades included in this palette. I think that this would make the most amazing gift for someone this holiday season. I hope that you guys had/are having an amazing Thanksgiving weekend. Please let me know if I missed some aspect of the review and if there are any questions I can answer. As always ..
Stay beautiful loves,
