Wet n Wild Makeup Haul
Hellooo beautiful people! Do you know what day it is? It’s #takemymoneytuesday wooo!! So, of course we’re doing a haul today. And I was actually planning on a different one, but just yesterday I saw that CVS was having a phenomenal deal on Wet n Wild makeup . For this week, all Wet n Wild makeup is Buy One Get One FREE! at CVS. I know I just recently did a pretty decent sized Wet n Wild makeup haul, but that was more lip products focused. I loved almost everything that I bought in that haul, so if you want to check out some ideas of what to purchase from Wet n Wild, I’ll have a link posted here. So once you’ve finished reading this haul, you can check that one out for more ways of doing damage 😀 Alrightyy, here goes our haul.
Wet n Wild Makeup Haul
- Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Palette in Comfort Zone
I must be the last person on the planet to get my hands on this. Any Youtuber, any ‘beauty guru’, anyone remotely interested in makeup will tell you that this is one of the most popular, cult favorite eyeshadow palettes ever from Wet n Wild. And with good reason. In fact, when I saw the palette, I was like ‘hmm, okay, for a couple dollars, this is not a bad palette. When I looked at the palette, I wasn’t immediately wowed by the colors at first glance. But, holy macaroni, when you swatch it, it’s like the most unexpected burst of pigmented beautiful colors. I was so excited to swatch this when I got home, that I committed one of the cardinal sins of beauty blogging- I didn’t take a pretty picture before dipping my grubby little paws into the palette 😀 Which is why you can see in the picture above that I completely messed up the embossing of the shade. Oh well, I get excited, what can I say? The colors swatch beautifully as you can see above. There are no true mattes, most are shimmer and some are satin shimmer shades. Being that I am new to this palette, I would not be able to comment on the longevity, performance, blendability etc of these shadows. But, considering it is a lot of people’s favorites, I’m not worried.
Miscellaneous: This retails for $4.99 on the Wet n Wild website, for $4.79 at my local CVS and $4.99 online on CVS. I’d suggest buying this from CVS if you’re purchasing it this week because you can get another item from Wet n Wild totally free. Otherwise, on any normal week, I would always recommend checking out Walmart for any beauty purchase because they seem to have the lowest prices.
- Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Palette in Petal Pusher
The sister palette to the comfort zone palette that I picked up is Petal Pusher. As you can see in the swatches above, the palette is very purple toned. I’m not sure that some of the shades are for me, because some of the lighter more silvery toned shadows tend to look a little tacky on my skin tone to be honest. I am absolutely loving all the deeper purples and dark plums though. Again, won’t comment on the eyeshadow performance, but I’ll surely keep you guys posted either here or on Instagram. And considering that this palette was essentially free in the BOGO FREE deal, even if one of them works out, I end up getting my money’s worth 🙂
Miscellaneous: Retails for $4.99.
- Wet n Wild Coloricon Blushes
A few months ago when Wet n Wild revamped their coloricon blushes, they also brought out a couple new shades I believe. And everyone was raving about how good those blushes were. So in my last haul, I picked up one of the blushes in the color Mellow Wine. That $2.00 blush is now one of my all time favorite blushes. So of course, I’d been waiting for this particular deal to happen in CVS so I could go and pick up a couple more shades and finally complete my collection of these stunning blushes. The two additional pans I picked up were Apri-cot in the Middle (top right) and Pearlescent Pink (left). Looking at the two, the apricot shade probably won’t show up on my skin tone as a very proper blush, but I’m hoping that with a little building up, it will show up as a lovely subtle flush of color. At this point, I have so so sooo many pigmented blushes that I’m actually dying to try more subtle blushes for my skin. The pearlescent pink shade is of course absolutely gorgeous. I took the pictures in sunlight so you could see the very subtle shimmer in these pans. But worry not, these are not glittery on the face by any means. If anything, they add a stunning soft glow to the skin.
Miscellaneous: These retail for $2.99 each on the Wet n Wild website.
- Wet n Wild Contouring Palette in Caramel Toffee
The next most exciting thing in this Wet n Wild makeup haul is this contouring palette. I am on a pretty tight student budget and purchasing one of those really popular contouring palettes from ABH or KVD costs a lot of money. So, right now, I can’t see myself getting into one of those palettes and hence, I’m always looking for some affordable options. In my recent Elf haul, I did buy a contour/highlight stick type thing. But after using it, I wasn’t happy with the quality of the product. So here is the next item in my quest for finding affordable contouring products that will actually be suitable for my skin. I picked up the Wet n Wild contouring palette in caramel toffee because I have heard so many good reviews about this. However, I still have a tiny nagging feeling that even though this is the darkest shade they offer, it still might not be enough to show up as a contour on my face. If nothing else, the banana powder in this compact looks heavenly and I’m sure I can get use out of the dark shade as my eyeshadow. All in all, I’m actually really stoked to use this product. When I felt the powders, they felt so soft and smooth on my hands that I’m sure there’s a reason everyone raves about this.
Miscellaneous: This retails for $4.79 at CVS in store or $4.99 online . The price will vary depending on where you purchase it from. I believe I saw this retail for 3 something dollars in Walmart.
- Wet n Wild Photofocus Setting Spray in Seal the Deal
Again, last person to jump onto this bandwagon. I actually don’t use any traditional setting sprays. The only makeup related spray I use is my trusty Mac fix +. But that is more of a finishing spray designed to get your face makeup to look flawless and non-cakey. Whereas this Wet n Wild makeup spray is designed to actually set your makeup and improve its longevity. Of course, I’m going to have to test this one on a really nice Texan day and see if it helps the condition of my makeup whatsoever. I rarely ever purchase anything without doing review research first, and of course, this one is raved about by everyone and their mamas.
Miscellaneous: This retails for $4.79 at CVS in store or $4.99 online . The price will vary depending on where you purchase it from.
- Wet n Wild Lip Liner in Brandy Wine
If you have been reading some of my last posts or following me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’ve raved about the Wet n Wild lip liner in Chestnut every chance I get. That color is hands down the PERFECT color for me and literally goes with every single brown/nude lip look that I want to do. So of course, since I love that one so much, I wanted to pick up another shade in their lip liner range. The one I picked up is called Brandy Wine and I’m hoping to love it as much as I love the Chestnut one.
Miscellaneous: Wet n Wild Lip Liner retails for only 99 cents!
- Wet n Wild Kohl Liner in Of Quartz
This is one of the biggest duds in my entire Wet n Wild makeup haul. Since I bought the aforementioned lip liner, I had my pick of another liner that I could get for free. So I decided to pick the kohl liner in the shade Of Quartz because it looked absolutely stunning -a vibrant violet color that would be perfect for a pop of color on the eyes. However, when I tried to swatch the liner on my hands, it was one of the most horrible experiences ever- you can’t make even a small dot of this product on your hand without it crumbling. The product literally crumbles every time you try to move it. Now obviously that’s going to be a major problem considering that this is supposed to be an eyeliner haha. Anyway, the color is super stunning and I’m going to give this one shot on my eye to see if it works. If not, no harm no foul. Although, this is definitely not making me inclined to buy anymore eyeliner type thingies from Wet n Wild.
Miscellaneous: This retails for 99 cents also.
Voila! The ENDD. Thank you guys for taking the time out and visiting me. If you end up purchasing anything from Wet n Wild makeup, please do let me know. I’d love to poke my nose in your business and see if you picked up anything that I might want to try as well 🙂 I hope you all have a fabulous rest of the week and that you’ll come back to join me on another beauty conversation soon.
Stay beautiful my friends,
